"start-over" day

Tomorrow is August 9th, a "start over" day. Any day can be a "start-over" day, which is the beauty of this kind of day. It can be anything you want it to be, "tomorrow I am going to start eating right, or stop drinking/smoking/procrastinating...."
My "start-over" is, "tomorrow I am going start working on my summer projects". Realizing school starts in two weeks has lit a small flame under my tush. It is great motivation to get serious about making a dent in my “summer project” list.

Summer Projects:
- clean out desk and get ready for next semester (which now is only 2 weeks away)
- go through every ones dressers and closets and donate items that no longer fit (I have done every ones except mine)
- remove all baby toys from Alexander's (our 3yr old) toy box and organize his toys with labels (for him, not me)
- Dentist appt for me and the kids
- Dr. appt for the kids for end of summer check up
- move Hydrangea plants (they are getting sunburned)
- put some stuff on Craigs list to sell
- seal the granite kitchen counter top
- get a new phone book and transfer #'s into it (mine is so old and falling apart)
- start making jewelry for x-mas gifts
- make soups and meals to freeze for dinners (last min meals when I am running late from school)

*Now here is the stuff I "wanted" to do before the summer is over:
- read a book for pleasure, not a text book (I'm almost done with 1)
- get a new sassy haircut
- ride at least 60 miles a week (early morning rides), so far zero miles logged
- work on my family heirloom cookbook (also x-mas gifts)
- volunteer at IBO
- float the river
- hike Table Rock with 11 yr old daughter (Hannah)
- go to Roaring Springs
- paint toe nails
- have coffee with girl friends

This is only part of the list, it does not include the "real" project list, like make new pathway from drive way to fence, or cut down the back 3 pine trees and replace with some other "type" of tree"...and the list goes on.

So, tomorrow I am going to start crossing things off my summer projects list. Tomorrow, I will start-over and stop procrastinating. I will not judge myself by how many things I cross off my list, I will just enjoy crossing each one off, one at a time. I will never stop “starting – over”.
